I’m here again to give you the newest and latest Thirsty Thursday hot spot. Unlike the other spots I have suggested in the past, Kona Grill is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, Md. It is literally located in one of Baltimore’s main attractions, which is the Inner Harbor. Kona Grill. When I first arrived at Kona Grill, I did not know what to expect. Honestly, upon opening the menu I realized some things were not quite in my budget. I quickly realized Kona Grill was a casual fine dining restaurant. However, fortunately for us happy hour was occurring. For the most part the happy hour special applies to a vast selection of their sushi and some of their appetizers. I selected the crab crunch roll as my appetizer. I must say in all of my days of eating sushi, this roll ranks in the top five. It was absolutely delicious and you could tell it was delicately prepared. Since, I was not familiar with the menu, I asked our server to recommend a dinner dish. She recommended that I try the Basil Pesto Linguine, so I did just that. This was probably one of the best choices I made that day. This linguine was absolutely amazing. Usually, I stick to alfredo pasta’s, but after this experience I most likely will always order a pesto linguine. Kona Grill may not be your typical restaurant. They specialize in american dishes and seafood, steak and sushi, more specifically. This selection allows them to cater to multiple crowds. Kona’s pricing is certainly not the lowest in the area, but unlike other fine dining restaurants I have been to, their food is worth it. Their generous portion sizes and delectable dishes make the price and experience definitely worth it. Their staff is extremely helpful, and are constantly making sure their clients are both comfortable and happy. I enjoyed my experience at Kona and certainly encourage you to try them out!
