Today I bring to you a new innovative way to improve eyesight with laser technology. Wavefront guided LASIK is a method that maps out every single flaw in your cornea and then uses a laser to shape the surface of your cornea to give “super sight”. LASIK stands for laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis. It is non-invasive surgical procedure that involves creating a corneal flap, then remodeling the tissue underneath it, and then repositioning the flap. This procedure ensures that the light waves coming from outside of the eye, hit the retina in the back of the eye in an appropriate way to give you the clearest possible vision. the procedure is relatively short, depending on the facility that it is performed and the recovery is quick, with the most discomfort occurring 24-48hrs after the procedure. LASIK surgery in general has a very high success rate, but this does not mean that it is for every patient. For example, if you have a really thin cornea, this procedure may not be for you. If you are interested in getting this procedure, go to your nearest ophthalmologist and enquire about getting more information about this procedure!
